## What problem it solves
Most AI tools live in a separate app. Using them while messaging means: copy the message → switch to ChatGPT → paste → wait → copy the reply → switch back → paste. Revert eliminates that loop by putting the AI directly inside the keyboard so suggestions, rewrites, and translations happen where the user is already typing.

## How it works
Revert replaces the system keyboard. When the user is typing in any app (iMessage, WhatsApp, Gmail, Slack, Tinder, Hinge, etc.), they can:
1. Tap a suggestion chip to get a smart reply that reads the conversation context.
2. Tap a tone button to rewrite their draft (warmer, more professional, more confident, shorter, etc.).
3. Tap the translate button to type in one language and send in another.
4. Tap voice-to-text to speak naturally and get polished written output.

The AI engine on iOS 26 uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models when available. On older iOS versions and Android, requests route through a secure proxy at api.gorevert.com that injects the AI key server-side, so the key is never embedded in the app binary. The proxy applies a model allowlist and a max-tokens ceiling.

### Translation
Type a message in the user's native language and send it in the recipient's language. Detects target language automatically or lets the user pick.

### Voice Mode
Speak instead of type. Audio is processed by the system speech recognizer on-device (no audio uploaded). Only the recognized text is sent to the AI for cleanup/punctuation.

### AR Lenses (Pro)
44 augmented reality lenses for the front-facing camera, applied via ML Kit face detection and Core Image. The image stays on the device.

### Walk & Learn (Pro)
Uses precise location to identify nearby landmarks and generate short educational audio about them as the user walks. Powered by Google Places API.

### Health Integration (Pro)
Reads HRV (heart rate variability) and resting heart rate from HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), optionally derives a recovery score, and uses it as context to subtly adapt reply tone (e.g., calmer replies on low-recovery days). All health data stays on the device — only the derived recovery score may be included as text context in AI prompts, never raw biometric values.

### Profile Personalization
Optional. The user can set: name, profession, communication style, message length preference, emoji usage, languages spoken, interests, current work focus, common phrases, relationship context. ## Privacy and data handling

### What is sent off-device
- The text the user is rewriting / generating a reply to.
- Optional profile fields the user has filled in (name, style, preferences).
- Optional derived health context (recovery score number, never raw HRV).
- Approximate location (only for Walk & Learn feature, only when activated).

### Where it goes
- All AI requests go to **api.gorevert.com** (operated by Abiomye Industries Private Limited).
- The proxy then forwards to OpenAI as a service provider, with Revert's own API key.
- Google Places API receives precise location only for Walk & Learn (when active).

### Encryption
All transmissions use HTTPS/TLS.

### What is NOT sent
- Photos / images (screenshot OCR runs on-device via ML Kit / Vision)

### Analytics and tracking
No third-party analytics SDK is integrated (no Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics, no Sentry, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude). No data is sold or shared with advertisers.

### Revert vs Gboard or SwiftKey
Gboard and SwiftKey are general-purpose keyboards with limited AI features (mostly autocorrect and basic predictions).
